Southend on Sea Pleasure Pier - Epic World Leisure

The £45 million scheme is made up of a themed visitor experience starting at the foreshore and extending along the pier to the pierhead and out into the sea. It includes:

• A new pavilion style building on the site of the former bowling alley incorporating the pier museum.
• Redevelopment of the foreshore promenade deck
• New pier trains and upgrade of the existing track
• New stations at the shore and the pierhead
• New pierhead cafes, bars and restaurants, 4d theatre and numerous extreme rides
• Retention and upgrading of facilities for commercial passenger vessels and private boats
• An extension of the development at the end of the High Street and foreshore linking the town centre with the pier
• A new lighting scheme throughout the pier as part of the overall themeing
• A unique rollercoaster adjaent the pier head and over the sea
