ST AUGUSTINES CHURCH

BGA Architects supports the ongoing care and maintenance of this much-loved local church. Alongside our work to protect its historic fabric, we have designed a sympathetic side extension to improve facilities and create a welcoming community foyer for the congregation and wider community.

The design draws on historical records showing an earlier intention to extend the church’s aisles, respecting the architecture and character of the original building while responding to the needs of today’s congregation.

Planning permission has been granted, and works have now started on site. The extension will support the church’s continuing role as a place of worship, gathering and community activity.
